Our Punters Corner tipsters had two winners this week.
Chris unfortunately had no luck with For Real Life at Albion Park on Saturday. Sixth place was the best it could do.
The Magpie on Sunday at Rangiora selected Shanika and it had a victory and paid $2.70.
Mark waited until Bathurst on Wednesday and picked Promising which came home but everybody thought it would win and it paid $1.30.
After 20 weeks of the Punters Corner competition Mark has the lead with $249, closely followed by Chris with $235 and The Magpie has $205.
The guys are on fire so keep checking to see what they come up with for this weeks racing, which should start coming through from this afternoon.
Saturday @ Albion Park Race 4 No.14 MACH SHARD
Quality event and final lead-up race for next week's 'Flashing Red' and even the Redcliffe Cup next month.
Manners are all important, start is crucial.
I thought Mach Shard would race well here, traffic is an obvious concern but he's fit and firing.
The Methven Magpie is heading to today's Timaru meeting for his best bet of the week.
He is plucking for one trained by an old mate of his, so perhaps he’s heard a “Whisper !!“
The Coaster Howe trained He’s A Jackalack goes around in race four and with the aid of champion driver Blair Orange The Magpie has He’s A Jackalack as his bet of the week.
Presently at good each way odds with the NZ TAB, we do notice with one of the big corporate betting agency’s Hes A Jackalack is their “Market Mover” so you know the expression …………“Where there is smoke !!”
The Magpie, with a wink says – Get on !!
The nations Cherry Capital race on Tuesday night at Young and we will wait until the last - race 8. Doug Hewitt drives the lightly raced Muriel whose drawn alright in the back row - number 8.
It is not a strong field and Muriel really does get the opportunity to win this.
Good punting to all.
