Latest Winners

LAST WEDNESDAY NIGHT the Bathurst Harness Racing Clubs meeting saw the Amanda Turnbull stable provide a trifecta in race four - All three horses concerned were purchased through our books.

The winner was the ex-Laurence Hanrahan trained Sweet Lou (USA) filly Fasika NZ, who was having her fourth Australian start and kept her unbeaten record intact since being imported by owner Michael Boots.

Running second to Fasika NZ was the ex-Colin DeFilippi trained Sweet Heaven NZ, another by Sweet Lou (USA) and Lochiel NZ ran third.

A big well done to the Turnbull stable.

We would hate to think how many Turnbull trained horses have won over the years at Bathurst that were purchased through us – The number of wins on the track must be in the hundreds !!

OTHERS TO WIN during last week that were also purchased out of New Zealand through us included well bred trotting mare Sunny Petite NZ at Bendigo last Tuesday, Blazing Banner NZ who made it three Australian wins out of four starts at Leeton and on the same day bargain buy Baker Creek NZ notched up Australian win number eight on the same programme.

Old Luke NZ won his nineth New South Wales race and took his stake earnings since leaving New Zealand in December last year close to the A$70,000 mark at Menangle last Saturday night.

This is a guy who couldn’t win a race in New Zealand in twenty-five starts – He is proving another real bargain buy.

C C Jones NZ and Hello Its Me NZ were also successful and we trust all horses will keep on their winning ways for their connections with them all being in form.

AT THE PRESENT time we have a Mid canterbury owner / breeder looking to lease a nice mare for this breeding season to send to the Art Major (USA) horse Vincent (1.50.2, $610,066).

If you have a nicely bred, well conformed mare that you are not using this season and would consider leasing it please email full details to us on and we will pass on to our enquirer on your behalf.

WITH THE YEARLING sales sneaking up in the New Year and yearlings coming in to be prepared for them on both sides of the Tasman, vendors should be considering protecting their investments, by placing some short term insurance cover on their sales bound yearlings.

Drop us an email or give us a call to discuss how some short-term cover on your sale yearlings can protect your investment – It certainly gives “Peace Of Mind !! ”

UNTIL NEXT WEEK best regards to all and trust everyone keeps safe and well.
